Auditions Announced for Christmas Show

Published on: September 9, 2009

Auditions for the upcoming Winder-Barrow Community Theatre Christmas show will be held on Saturday, October 10th at 10:30 am and on Sunday, October 11th at 6:00 pm at the Colleen O. Williams Theater at the Winder Cultural Arts Center. The Little Town of Christmas by Pat Cook will be directed by Billie Nye-Muller, the Artistic Director of WBCT. The cast requires 15 – 20 children and teens as well as 15 adults.

During the show you will meet all of the funny and friendly citizens of the little town of Christmas including Skeezix and Sylvester, an elf comedy team that is short in stature and long in laughter; Dancer, the reindeer with a whacky sense of humor; Mrs. Claus, the REAL boss of the outfit; and a hilarious street corner Santa, tested and almost bested by one tough little kid with a sticky sucker. Throw in a wandering group of carolers who cough and sneeze on cue, three kids trying their best to be wise men in the Christmas play, and a riotous lecture on Christmas etiquette, and you're in for an evening of holiday laughter and warmth.

Rehearsals will take place during October and November with dates to be announced. The show will be presented December 4th, 5th, and 6th at the theater.

Come out and audition for this delightful Christmas show. No prepared material is required for the audition, but you are asked to bring in a list of any conflicts you might have for rehearsals.
